The gift shop next to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan is now hosting a farewell exhibit for the attraction, which will permanently close on January 22, 2024.
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man Exhibit
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man: The Ride opened on January 23, 2004. It was the first major expansion to Universal Studios Japan after the park opened in 2001. The ride is exactly the same as at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Florida, although differences exist in the queue and load structure.
Some of the “Final Campaign” merchandise available for purchase is displayed at the front of the store.
The exhibit is in the back corner.
There is a giant countdown to the final ride on screens behind this life-size Spider-Man statue.
Along the wall are Spider-Man murals and a timeline of the ride’s operation
The “Final Campaign” merchandise was released this past summer, along with a final edition of the Daily Bugle newspaper, stickers, and a photo op folder.
Standard Spider-Man merchandise is also available in the shop.
We don’t know what will replace The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man: The Ride. Are you sad to see it go? Let us know in the comments.
