Further adding to the cozy, home-like feel of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are several sets of holiday decorations that were recently put up around the resort. Festive garlands and wreaths now adorn several buildings and signs around the resort, and the lodging’s iconic Christmas tree has been installed, as well.
Holiday Decorations Installed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
The grand Christmas tree that towers over the Settlement area of the resort has recently made its return. The tall decoration is topped with a star and contains many of the same ornaments and garnishments that it has in years past.
This year’s tree is surrounded by large wooden bucket-style flower planters that contain poinsettias and other flora, an alteration from last year’s decoration.
General yuletide decorations like multi-colored lights, circular ornaments, and poinsettias adorn the tree alongside more thematic décor like pinecones, horseshoe-capped wagon wheels, lanterns, and paisley bandanas fashioned as bows.
Flower-filled leather cowboy boots even appear on the tree amongst the other general and themed décor.
Settlement Trading Post
The nearby Settlement Trading Post gift shop has gotten in on the festive spirit, as well, as garland is now wrapped around the posts that hoist the store’s exterior sign.
The garland, like the tree, contains both general holiday and aesthetically consistent decorations that fit with the rustic theme of the resort. Festive lights and ornaments appear alongside pinecones, mini cowboy hats, lanterns, and flannel bows.
These motifs are repeated on the garland that’s been added to the “Settlement Trading Post” sign above a doorway.
Similarly decorated garland stretches between the wooden posts that hold up the roof overhang outside the building. Several wagon wheels that have been repurposed as wreaths appear amongst the dĂ©cor; they’re adorned with lights, ornaments, tree-and-star cutouts, holly, and flannel bows.
Marina
Garland has been added beneath the fascia boards on the roof of a building at the marina. It’s adorned with lights, pinecones, poinsettias, and manila rope.
It arches over a wreath that contains several of the same decorations.
Pioneer Hall
Pioneer Hall, the home of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground’s beloved Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, has also received a festive overlay. Garland is hung from many parts of the multi-story building; it’s similar to the garland seen on the building at the marina, containing lights, ornaments, poinsettias, and looped manila rope.
Two wreaths hang from its second-story balcony.
The wreaths also contain poinsettias and other general holiday décor.
Trail’s End Restaurant & Crockett’s Tavern
The holiday spirit has spread to the nearby Trail’s End Restaurant and Crockett’s Tavern, where additional wreaths and garlands have been installed.
They contain largely the same decorations seen throughout the rest of the resort.
These likely aren’t the last holiday decorations you’ll see at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The resort contains roughly 800 campsites, and guests typically decorate their sites with grand festive displays and decorations as the holidays grow closer.
