A Santa Claus meet and greet is now available during the day at Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom for the 2023 holiday season. Santa Claus also meets guests during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Santa Claus Meet and Greet
Santa appears in the decorated gazebo behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. He meets guests periodically between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
He has a wide bench so kids can sit beside him. Around him are giant gift boxes and a red rug displays “SC” in green and gold.
Santa is of course wearing a red velvet suit with white fur trim, a large black belt, and black boots. The coat is decorated with golden detailing down the front.
In 2021, Disney Parks began casting people of color as Santa Claus for the first time and we met a Black Santa Claus this morning. At Disneyland this year, a Black woman appeared as Mrs. Claus for the first time in A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
At Walt Disney World, guests can also meet Santa Claus at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, during the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and at Disney Springs.
Santa appears on a festive flotilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, waving to guests from the Discovery River.
