There are plenty of delicious sweets for the holidays at Universal Orlando, but there’s also a delicious sweet potato, too! The Taxi Hut in London has a new seasonal offering and it’s sure to be popular. Just for the holidays, a jacket sweet potato is now available at Universal Studios Florida, perfect for sweet and savory.

Roasted Sweet Potato with Maple Butter, Dried Cranberries, Vegan Feta Cheese, Candied Pecans, and Pomegranate Seeds

The Taxi Hut is located in the London section of the park, just outside of Diagon Alley. Before making your way into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, take a quick trip to the Taxi Hut near the Knight Bus. This fan-favorite snack location is known for jacket potatoes and hot dogs, but has added another item to the menu for the holidays. The jacket sweet potato looks absolutely amazing.

This offering is vegan and suitable for those who are gluten-sensitive. As always, it’s exciting to see Universal’s food and beverage teams creating unique and flavorful options to accommodate different dietary needs.

We raved about the maple butter featured on the waffles during the Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast and we were excited to see it used again here. The jacket sweet potato is covered in melting maple butter, which was the highlight of the dish. This is the ultimate taste of the holidays. The savory, sweet flavor of the maple butter pairs surprisingly well with the fruity sweetness of the dried cranberries and pomegranate seeds.

Large candied pecans add a different type of sweetness and a little crunch. The vegan Feta cheese didn’t have any real noticeable taste, but could have been masked by everything else going on. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. There’s something magical happening with this sweet potato, even if it’s located outside of the Wizarding World. On a cold day, this will warm you up perfectly.

There are plenty of delicious holiday offerings available around the Universal Orlando Resort, but we highly recommend this new offering from the Taxi Hut.
