Disney Vacation Club announced in an email to members that the new Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are projected to open in the Summer of 2024. Disney announced the cabins earlier this year, only stating they would open in 2024. DVC also officially released the two pieces of concept art they first revealed at the annual Condo Association Meeting last week, and one new piece of concept art.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Disney Vacation Club says the following on a webpage for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort:
Introducing The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort—the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort—set within a forest oasis of cypress and pine. Retreat to your own private cabin featuring plenty of modern amenities and charming, convenient comforts. Wake up to the buzzing of life and its endless fun, from poolside relaxation to fishing excursions to fireside sing-a-longs. And create cherished family memories, nestled in the magic of nature. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can save on future Disney accommodations—including The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort—as you enjoy vacations, near and far, year after year.
The new concept art of a cabin exterior is similar to the first artwork released. Disney stated in their initial announcement that the cabins are being built “with an eye toward the environment, utilizing the footprint of the existing cabins and taking advantage of more energy-efficient features.” The 350 DVC cabins are replacing the current cabins at the resort.
The living room concept art shows a pink couch beneath a Murphy bed, a crate-inspired table with a blue cushion top, Fort Wilderness artwork, and white walls.
In addition to the living room concept art we previously saw at the condo association meeting, concept art on the website shows what a bedroom may look like. The rooms will have new or updated bunkbeds with murals on the wall behind them.

Disney Vacation Club describes the cabins further:
Find tranquility in your private one-bedroom cabin, complete with many comforts of home.
Set amid the beauty of the great outdoors, each cabin sleeps up to 6, and some can even accommodate dogs. All offer a restful retreat with charming touches and many conveniences.
Through the sconce-flanked front doors is a spacious living area featuring a dining nook and a fully equipped kitchen—including a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven and 2 countertop burners. Off the kitchen you’ll find a vanity area outside the entrance to the bathroom, which has a shower and an additional vanity inside. A convertible seating and sleeping area is located opposite the kitchen and boasts a 65-inch TV and a comfortable sofa—the perfect spot to gather your family to watch a favorite Disney movie. At bedtime, simply fold down the queen-size Inova bed from the wall, for added sleeping space. In the separate bedroom, you’ll find a queen-size bed, twin-size bunk beds, a 55-inch TV, a closet and a nightstand.
Each morning you can draw the curtains back to reveal floor-to-ceiling windows and your own personal patio deck, where you can bask in the glories of nature while firing up the charcoal grill and dining al fresco.
With everything available to you, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort provides a fresh, elevated take on the cabin experience—and decades of magical vacations to come.
