Construction has resumed on the former funnel cakes kiosk at Disney’s BoardWalk to transform it into a new Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs location. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs — which has a location in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort — announced the location in July and said it would open this year. They later announced it would open in 2024.
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Construction
The BoardWalk To Go kiosk was repainted blue with blue awnings this summer. Rolling planters surrounded the kiosk in November.
Now the awnings have been removed and the windows covered in plywood for further work.
It looks like crews are addressing some rotting on the building.
Black tarps also cover some sections.
Some of the blue wall paneling has been removed and the weather-proof sheathing is visible.
The “BoardWalk To Go” sign was added this summer, replacing the funnel cake signage. New signage for Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs will likely also be added.
This side of the kiosk has remained mostly untouched, with only the awning and one plank of paneling removed.
The door on this side is not covered.
The edges of the awning structures have seen better days so may be replaced before Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs officially moves in.
Disney teased some of the corn dogs that will be available at the kiosk in an Instagram post last month. Some of the items from the Downtown Disney District menu will be available at the new location.
The non-seasonal menu at the Blue Ribbon Corn Dog stand in the Downtown Disney District currently includes the following items:
- Classic Dog: Classic, All-Beef Corn Dog. Served with a Bag of Chips – $12.50
- Pickle Dog: Hot Dog, wrapped in a Pickle, fried in Cornmeal Batter, and Panko Crusted. Served with a Bag of Chips and Peanut Butter – $15.50
- Golden Dragon: Classic, All-Beef Corn Dog, crusted with Panko Breadcrumbs. Served with a side of Sriracha Mayo, sweet Thai chili, and a Mandarin – $15.50
- Kid Dog: Kid size, All-Beef Corn Dog. Served with a Bag of Chips – $10.50
