Flower boxes have been installed on the Columbia Harbour House façade in Magic Kingdom during its ongoing refurbishment. The refurbishment work began on the Fantasyland side of Columbia Harbour House in September and has continued to include the other end of the restaurant in Liberty Square.
Columbia Harbour House Construction
Scaffolding, scrim, and construction walls went up around the Liberty Square end of Columbia Harbour House in late November.
Since then, more scaffolding has been added to this area.
The restaurant’s main entrance remains free of scaffolding and walls. Columbia Harbour House is a counter-service restaurant that opens at 11:00 a.m. on most days.
The restaurant’s Fantasyland façades have been covered in scrim and scaffolding for several weeks.
The refurbishment project began on the wall that faces the Peter Pan’s Flight show building. Flower boxes were removed from this wall for construction work.
The scrim is gone from this wall and the flower boxes have returned, as has a pipe.
The pipe runs from the edge of the roof into the ground.
There are three flower boxes, each with different types of flowers.
The first has purple flowers.
The second has red and white flowers.
And the third has white and light purple flowers.
Columbia Harbour House closes at 7:00 p.m. most evenings. The restaurant’s New England-inspired fare includes a Lobster Roll, New England Shrimp Boil, Grilled Shrimp Skewer, Grilled Salmon, Sea Captain’s Fish Sandwich, Mixed Greens Salad, Chicken Strips, and Plant-based Crab Cake Sandwich. In addition to the standard French fries, guests can get clam chowder, green beans, hushpuppies, or rice as sides.
