In August, construction work finally began on the flex space next to the Imagination! Pavilion in EPCOT that has previously housed a playground. In addition to new pavement, the space now has lampposts, grass, railings, and more.
Flex Space Construction
The new lampposts are black with orbs on top. Three surround a central paved space.
The pink-ish pavement is surrounded by brick. There are also a few short pink columns in the area.
Planks of wood surround two deep holes in the ground.
A ladder leads into this hole.
The second hole is slightly smaller and closer to the Imagination! Pavilion.
More lampposts line a stretch of paved sidewalk.
New green metal railings line the end of the sidewalk.
Crews have also laid new grass between the flex space and the pavilion.
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza also remain under construction as part of the ongoing reimagining of EPCOT. The center of World Celebration recently opened with the new Walt the Dreamer statue.
