• As we say hello to 2024, construction on CommuniCore Hall and Plaza continues, as more Spaceship Earth-style panels have been installed.

• The menu at Roundup Rodeo BBQ has seen some cuts, leaving guests with fewer choices for the family-style restaurant.

Disney Springs

• Amid other changes at the shopping and dining district, the Alex and Ani jewelry store at Disney Springs is closing permanently.
• 2024 is finally here, and what better way to kick off a new year and a new month than with the latest offering at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, the Maple Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie?

New Merchandise

• Oh, snap! Don’t have a cow, but if you’ve been Jonesing for a little taste of that sweet 90s fly style, this new 90s throwback Mickey & Co. collection is fresh off the block at Walt Disney World.
• Uptown Jewelers at Magic Kingdom has a new Mickey ring available for purchase, with three pearls making up the mouse’s iconic face shape.
• Channel the most fashionable mouse with this new stylish gold Minnie Mouse watch.

Tokyo Disney Resort

• A new collection of merchandise inspired by Disney’s 1933 animated Silly Symphony film “Three Little Pigs” has arrived at Tokyo Disney Resort.

Entertainment and Media

• Hours after entering the public domain, Nightmare Forge has announced a new horror video game featuring Mickey Mouse as Steamboat Willie.
• Ana Ofelia Murguía, the Mexican actor who provided the voice for the titular character in Pixar’s 2017 film, “Coco,” passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
