After most scaffolding was removed last month, all scaffolding is now gone from around Hotel du Canada in the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT. As work wraps up on the hotel façade, Northwest Mercantile has closed for refurbishment.

The fake hotel was previously tan with a brown roof. It’s now more gray with a green roof. Hotel du Canada is inspired by Château Laurier in Ottawa. Disney used forced perspective to make the hotel appear larger than it is.

Refurbishment work began last summer, with the top half of the Canada Pavilion blocked off during construction.

Hotel du Canada used to house the shop Le Boutiques des Provinces but it has been closed for many years. The building now acts as storage and has spaces for Cast Members.

There is still some scaffolding around the entrance to Le Cellier Steakhouse, the “basement” of Hotel du Canada. Construction walls and scrim still cover this scaffolding. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from noon to 9 p.m.

When we last shared a construction update, scaffolding still went up this side of the hotel. There were also still some construction materials visible around the hotel, but we don’t see anything left now.
