Mardi Gras Brings All Hallows Eve Bayou Boutique to Islands of Adventure

The year-round spooky seasonal store at Universal Islands of Adventure has been given a Mardi Gras makeover to become the All Hallows Bayou Boutique.

All Hallows Eve Bayou Boutique

Since 2021, the All Hallows Eve Boutique has been a seasonal store serving up spooky twists on the current event at Universal Orlando Resort. Last Christmas turned the store into the All Hallows Eve Holiday Boutique with the Universal Monsters, and now that a new season is upon us, a new theme has arrived.

The All Hallows Eve Bayou Boutique is in the Lost Continent near the Hogwarts Express.

For each new theme, the sign is designed to look like the new name has been tacked up over the original. The Bayou sign is made to look like corrugated, rusted metal.

The stained glass designs on the front doors are in shades of blue with colorful accents creating a voodoo doll stuck with many pins in varying sizes.

Each theme takes the main event and makes it spooky, so the bayou inside is meant to be dark and creepy. Stained, moldy, tattered sails hang above a small boat. Branches and foliage fill in some of the available space.

The boat called the S.S. Silvia is the centerpiece of the first room. A rusted urn sits beside it.

Tarot-style posters hang on the walls behind merchandise. All of them feature Baron Tonton in various hats.

Another card from the Major Arcana, Death, shows Baron TonTon in a hood with a sickle. In tarot, this card represents endings and transformation.

The art for “The Moon” card features the Baron as a fortune-teller whose tall top hat features the phases of the moon. He wears his regular studded jacket and gazes into a crystal ball showing a crescent moon. In tarot, The Moon represents one’s intuition and subconscious.

“The Fool” is represented by Baron Tonton in a jester’s hat. Notably missing from all artwork is the Baron’s bone necklace. In tarot, The Fool stands for beginnings and innocence.
