Disney announced on the morning of Mardi Gras that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom will open this summer. Disney Parks Blog stated the Disneyland version of the attraction will open later in the year, so either in the fall or winter.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland
Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom closed in January 2023, but the Disneyland version closed in May 2023, so construction of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in California has been a few months behind Florida.
The Disneyland ride is still scheduled to open in 2024. It was listed as opening this year on a chart of upcoming Disney projects sent to shareholders. The original opening timeframe was announced as “late 2024.”
In addition to announcing the Walt Disney World opening timeframe, Disney shared a look at a Tiana audio-animatronic and added new decorations to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction walls at Magic Kingdom. The decorations reference New Orleans Square, the land in Disneyland where the attraction will be located (it’s in Frontierland at Walt Disney World).
