New details have been released for the upcoming D23 event, Down in New Orleans — Celebrating 15 Years of “The Princess and the Frog,” including that there will be a special sneak peek at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
D23 ‘Down In New Orleans’ Event to Feature Sneak Peek of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
During the event, which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 23, 2024, guests will not only get to attend a screening of “The Princess and the Frog” and enjoy a Grand Finale event at The New Orleans Jazz Museum, but also enjoy three newly announced offerings:
Sneak Peek at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Guests attending this D23 event will be able to attend “a specially curated presentation” by Walt Disney Imagineering, showcasing the research, collaboration, and creative development that is bringing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to life at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park. The offering is described as a “can’t-miss deep dive” into what guests can anticipate from the new attraction.
‘Disney Down in New Orleans’ with the Walt Disney Archives
Rebecca Cline, director of the Walt Disney Archives, will also be on hand to guide attendees through The Walt Disney Company’s history with the city of New Orleans. This presentation will include decades of stories on how the city made its mark on Walt Disney and countless Disney Parks, attractions, songs, and films, including those with haunted mansions and swashbuckling pirates.
Special Appearance from Keith David, Voice of Dr. Facilier
Keith David, the voice of Dr. Facilier in “The Princess and the Frog,” will speak at the event, reflecting on his work in bringing his character to life.
The “Big Easy” ticket is the only option left for purchase, priced at $199 (plus a $7 processing fee) for Gold Members and $249 (plus a $7 processing fee) for general members. Screening-only tickets for both tiers have sold out.
