The upcoming Donkey Kong Country expansion in Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has been added to the Power-Up Band map before the land’s opening.

The map, which serves as a physical key for guests to explore the Power-Up Band interactive locations around Super Nintendo World, only included the original area of the land until recently. This new iteration seemingly clears the clouds to allow guests to view the full layout of Donkey Kong Country.

Unlike the Mushroom Kingdom area of Super Nintendo World, there are no key challenges notated in the Donkey Kong Country section of the map. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong Power-Up Bands were revealed for the land in December 2023.

Opening in spring of 2024, Donkey Kong Country will feature a roller coaster called Mine Cart Madness, which you can see running through the land on the map. You can also spot the Golden Temple at the back of the land, along with some of the area’s interactive elements, including a rumored Rambi the Rhinoceros game. Also pictured is a plane that will likely be the land’s merchandise location.

The Universal Studios Japan expansion was announced at a media event in December of 2023. Concept art of the new area was displayed at that time.

Donkey Kong Country is also coming to Universal Epic Universe when it opens in 2025, as can be seen in the full park map that was released in January 2024.
