Speculation has begun for Halloween Horror Nights 2024 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Horror Night Nightmares shared their first speculation map for the event (as well as HHN in Universal Studios Florida).

Symbols represent different houses and entertainment offerings on the map.

Scare zone themes are currently unknown. Film reels next to the symbols represent IP-inspired houses.

Haunted Houses

  • Unknown IP (soundstage 15)
  • No noise (movie, Mummy)
  • Flower (Parisian courtyard)
  • Cadillac (movie, UBE Venue)
  • Skull (movie, soundstage 22)
  • Worm (T-Pad)
  • Terror Tram
  • Bloody knife (movie, H-Lot tent)
  • Stars and moon (movie, H-Lot tent)

The Cadillac logo represents “Ghostbusters.” The Ghostbusters’ Ectomobile, a.k.a. Ecto-1, is a 1959 Cadillac and the same symbol is on the Universal Studios Florida speculation map. We previously reported on Universal Orlando Resort buying a ’59 Cadillac to transform into the famous car.

The noise-canceling symbol may refer to “A Quiet Place,” the horror movie franchise starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. With a third film in the series premiering this summer, it would make sense for there to be a house inspired by the franchise at HHN this year.

Entertainment

Death Eaters will be back in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade this year, according to a skull and snake symbol. They have been a kind of scare zone in the land for the past few years.

One IP-inspired show is represented by a house silhouette resembling the Blumhouse logo. Last year, Blumhouse: Behind the Screams took over the DreamWorks Theater. Blumhouse has already teased a return to Halloween Horror Nights this year.

Another offering is represented by a castle turret and film reel. The same symbol is used for the HHN lagoon show at Universal Studios Florida.
