Disney is testing the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure drop in Magic Kingdom with water dummies in the log ride vehicles.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Test With Dummies

@DrewDisneyDude on X shared a video of a log heading down the ride’s 50-foot drop, treating onlookers to some water spray. There were two dummies in each row of the log. The dummies are large plastic jugs full of water that simulate the weight of a human. They appear to be Roto Power’s Bart and/or Big Bart dummies.

Although Tiana’s Bayou Adventure uses the same ride track and vehicles as Splash Mountain, testing with and without dummies is necessary before allowing people on the ride due to changes to the rockwork around the attraction and the addition of props that could potentially hang too low.

Check out our most recent Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction update. The Magic Kingdom attraction will open this summer while the Disneyland version will open later in 2024.
