A section of the facade for Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is being refurbished, with paneling stripped from the walls and scaffolding covering the building.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Facade Refurbishment
This section of the building includes the Disney Vacation Club showroom, which was also closed for construction last year. We saw several crew members on the first floor, behind the permanent white fence and temporary green fencing.
Only some of the facades aqua-colored boards were still on the walls. The white balconies, windows, and frames were still in place.
Weather-proof sheathing was exposed on the top few floors. On the bottom of the building was an exposed steel frame over wood.
Crew members were working near the DVC showroom. An A-frame sign read, “Please pardon our appearance. This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment.”
Crew members were working on boards that covered the first-floor walls.
Disney’s BoardWalk has been undergoing a years-long refurbishment both in and out. The resort lobby was remodeled early last year. Other facades and the walkway have been refurbished. A Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs kiosk and The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers are both under construction on the BoardWalk.
