Water Fountain Installed at Communicore Hall, Construction Walls Down From New Walkway

The exterior of CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT is almost done and construction walls have come down from a new pathway near Spaceship Earth.

CommuniCore Plaza overhangs behind construction walls and trees

As we noted in our last construction update, it appears that paneling is complete on the exterior of the Hall and the overhangs around CommuniCore Plaza. The structures feature white triangular panels inspired by Spaceship Earth and black accent panels.

There were a couple of construction vehicles in CommuniCore Plaza during our most recent visit but most materials were cleared from this area.

When CommuniCore Hall and Plaza open, the limited-time “¡Celebración Encanto!” will debut on the Plaza stage.

On the other side of CommuniCore Hall, we didn’t see any construction activity, but this gave us a good look at the walkway. There’s Spaceship Earth-inspired flooring outside one entrance. Palm trees shade the sidewalk.

Construction Walls Down Near Spaceship Earth

The walls have come down around one side of the new sidewalk by the Spaceship Earth restrooms on the World Nature side. In their place are temporary rolling planters. For now, this sidewalk is only available for use by Cast Members. The walls were still up on our last visit, less than a week ago.

Progress has also been made in the area that houses the water station used by Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.” The dirt has been flattened and evened out. Short light fixtures can be seen installed at the bottom of the photo.
