Disney Announces Year-Long First Room Refurbishment of Bay Lake Tower

Walt Disney World has announced the dates for the first room refurbishment of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

From September 2024 to September 2025, room refurbishment work will take place in Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. During this time, Guests will see and hear construction work throughout Bay Lake Tower. Please allow extra time for travel as alternate paths may be utilized.

Disney previously indicated through planDisney posts that the rooms would be refurbished.

Bay Lake Tower is located next to the original Contemporary Resort, along Bay Lake. The resort has 428 Disney Vacation Club villas. It opened in the summer of 2009.

After a 2019 test, Disney re-themed Contemporary Resort rooms to “The Incredibles.” Bay Lake Tower did not receive the same update. The bridge connecting the buildings was refurbished in 2022.
