Universal Orlando Resort announced end dates for their new summer entertainment: Universal Mega Movie Parade, “CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular,” and “Hogwarts Always.”

Summer Entertainment End Dates

‘CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular’

“CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular,” a new nighttime spectacular at Universal Studios Florida, starts on Friday, June 14, and will run through Sunday, August 25. The lagoon show will be performed on select nights and use fireworks, fountains, and over 600 drones. Check out a sneak peek.

The August 25 end date comes right before the start of Halloween Horror Nights 33, possibly making way for an HHN lagoon show. HHN has previously featured lagoon shows. “Ghoulish: A Halloween Tale” was canceled prematurely during HHN 31 in 2022 after a hurricane damaged the lagoon’s projectors. A lagoon show has not been offered since.

‘Hogwarts Always’

Projections and fireworks on Hogwarts Castle

“Hogwarts Always,” a new projection show on the Wizarding World castle in Islands of Adventure, also starts on Friday and runs through August 25. “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” will likely return after that for the Halloween season.

“Hogwarts Always” replaces “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle,” which closed in May 2023. It will be performed on select nights, taking “guests on a journey through iconic moments of a school year at Hogwarts.” It will have four different endings, each inspired by a different Hogwarts house.

‘Universal Mega Movie Parade’

Universal Mega Movie Parade premieres on Wednesday, July 3, and will be performed through Thursday, November 14. It will presumably be replaced at that point by Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. The Mega Movie Parade will include floats inspired by “Jaws,” “Jurassic World,” “Ghostbusters,” and more. It’s designed to match the summer Tribute Store. New bubble wands will interact with the parade.

Stay tuned for our coverage of all this entertainment as it premieres.
