Disney Cruise Line’s new private destination, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, officially opens on June 10 but is already welcoming guests for previews. Disney has released new photos and videos from Lookout Cay, which is on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas.
Disney Lookout Cay Opens for Previews
Construction of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point was completed a few weeks ago. Like Disney Cruise Line’s private island Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay includes family and adult beaches, cabanas, and BBQ restaurants. The design and activities of Lookout Cay are inspired by the culture and traditions of The Bahamas.
Disney Parks has released two videos from the island. The first, embedded below, features an announcement welcoming guests to Lookout Cay, playing over clips from all over the destination.
The second video, below, features some of the island’s characters in their new Lookout Cay costumes. Guests will be able to meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Donald, and Daisy in unique outfits.
The costumes were designed by Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett.
Guests visiting Lookout Cay can enjoy a water play area, the Goombay Cultural Center, and a Junkanoo festival. Read more about the island’s activities.
