Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom pays homage to Splash Mountain, which it replaced, with props in the new attraction’s queue.
Splash Mountain Tribute
The tribute is on a shelf above Tiana’s desk inside the queue’s barn. The shelf includes pictures of Tiana with Naveen and her parents, but the props in between are references to the former attraction.
On one side of a green flower pot are small bear, fox, and rabbit statues — references to Br’er Bear, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Rabbit, the main characters of Splash Mountain. On the other side of the pot is a frog, referencing Br’er Frog, who narrated Splash Mountain. Next to the frog is a riverboat figure resembling the boat from the end of Splash Mountain.
The frog and riverboat sit on a music box reading “The Sweetest Story Ever Told,” a Bing Crosby song. Another riverboat figure is next to the picture of Tiana and Naveen, in front of a plate painted with lilypads and white flowers.
