The main entrance sign for Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree has been installed in Bayou Country at Disneyland.
Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree Sign
Disneyland announced earlier this summer that Hungry Bear Restaurant would get new Country Bear theming and become Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree when it reopens from refurbishment. Hungry Bear Restaurant closed with most of Critter Country on July 8. To coincide with the upcoming opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the land has been renamed Bayou Country.
The first new sign was installed on the second floor along the railing of the outdoor dining area. The restaurant’s newest sign is located at the main entrance. It features “Hungry Bear” in white lettering with red borders. “Barbecue Jamboree” is orange with a gradient.
An Ursus H. Bear mural is also visible inside the restaurant, and the full menu for the location was released in August.
The Country Bear Jamboree opened at the Disneyland Resort on March 4, 1972. It closed on September 9, 2001, to be replaced by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. At Walt Disney World, Country Bear Jamboree recently became the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
