Two Secret Rooms Will Open Featuring New Disney Theme Park Projects on Sunday at D23

Two brand new rooms will be opening on the show floor at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this Sunday after the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase (colloquially known as the Disney Parks panel) on the evening of August 10.

Secret Rooms Revealed

During the media preview on Thursday evening we spotted this wall with a fake door on it. On the door a sign reads “Future Projects – Unlocking this Sunday!”

After having been previously rumored, this is the first official confirmation that we have received that more pavilions will be opening at the convention center after Disney’s bi-annual parks panel.

What lies behind these walls is unknown at this time, though we do have some predictions on what could be announced later this weekend, with possibilities including Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a new Avatar ‘experience’ at the Disneyland Resort, or something entirely unannounced yet. Soon enough all will be revealed for what Disney has in store for the future.

We spotted this rather empty looking model of Disney Adventure World on the show floor as well. We think it is possible that this could be added to in the coming days as well.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event runs August 9 – 11 at the Anaheim convention center.
