A new update has been posted to the Weather Updates page on the Universal Orlando website regarding parking at the resort for Hurricane Milton.
Universal Not Offering Hurricane Milton Parking to General Public
According to the update, the parking garages at Universal Orlando Resort will not be open to the general public for parking during Hurricane Milton once the parks close this afternoon.

Parking is not available to the general public after our parks close this afternoon. Hurricane parking is for team members only. We apologize and encourage guests to check the status of public garages available throughout Orlando.
Parking garage fees were waived for Hurricane Milton by the City of Orlando starting at 9 a.m. on October 9. Any resident who would like to park their car in a covered garage can go to the following locations:
- Central Boulevard Garage, 52 West Central Boulevard
- Jefferson Street Garage, 62 West Jefferson Street
- Library Garage, 112 East Central Boulevard
- Orange County Administration Garage, 300 Liberty Avenue
Parking in the city garages is for passenger vehicles only, with height restrictions applied. No oversized vehicles, campers, boats, trailers, or watercraft will be permitted to enter.
All cars parked must be removed by 12 p.m. on Friday, October 11, depending on road and weather conditions after Hurricane Milton has passed.
Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk will be closing at 2 p.m. today, and remain closed on October 10 for Hurricane Milton. Universal Volcano Bay will be closed on both October 9 and 10, and Halloween Horror Nights has been cancelled for both evenings. Universal resort hotels remain operational to focus on caring for guests staying there. Universal Orlando Resort expects a full reopening on Friday, October 11, though nothing has been officially announced yet.
A State of Emergency was declared on October 5 for Universal Orlando Resort. The following day, Milton was classified as a hurricane. At this time, the storm is a Category 4 hurricane, having strengthened and weakened between Categories 5 and 4 over the past couple of days. A Hurricane Warning was issued on October 7. In the afternoon on October 9, a tornado watch was issued for Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, and the surrounding areas.
