Walt Disney World has extended their cancellation and change fees policy once again due to Hurricane Milton.
Disney last extended the hurricane policy through October 14. Now guests with resort hotel bookings through Wednesday, October 16 can make changes to or cancel their reservations without penalty.
Walt Disney World theme parks closed early on Tuesday, October 9, and remained closed through Thursday, October 10. Disney Springs, the Disney Springs parking garages, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, and Disney’s two miniature golf courses are also closed. The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party scheduled for Thursday was canceled and event tickets have been refunded.
Theme parks are scheduled to reopen on Friday, October 11.
On Thursday morning, Disney lifted their shelter-in-place advisory for resort hotel guests.
Disney extended the expiration date for partially used multi-day tickets. They will not enforce cancellation policies for dining and other bookable experiences until further notice. Prepaid bookable offerings will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.
