One of the cafés aboard Disney Cruise Line’s new Disney Treasure will be HeiHei Café, inspired by Moana’s rooster friend.
HeiHei Cafe
The cafe is on deck 4, midship, overlooking the Grand Hall. The carpeting around the space is blue like the ocean with a pattern inspired by flowers and shells. The carpet gives way to light-colored tile and a counter with cushioned bar stools. Tall chairs are at the central bar. The furniture is inspired by a traditional construction technique used by Polynesian people in crafting seafaring vessels.
A sculpture of HeiHei is on the bar to the left, below the HeiHei Cafe sign. There are seashell relief sculptures around the sign. The alcoves on the back wall that house drinks and supplies are shaped like boats. Blue tiles on the front of the bar also reflect the ocean.
HeiHei Café will serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and boat snacks.
“Disney The Tale of Moana,” a new Broadway-style stage show, will also debut on the Disney Treasure.
