Cocktail Reviews

The Chilling Challenge – $20

818 Añejo Tequila, Cointreau Noir, Blood Orange, Sour Cherry, Lime Salt Air Foam

This is served in a wooden chest, which is dramatically opened to allow fog to roll out. The bartender illuminates the drink with a black light so the Haunted Mansion Parlor logo can be seen on the foam. It comes with a souvenir Death Certificate.

A glass of frothy purple liquid, evocative of a Disney Treasure specialty drink, rests on a blue napkin atop the dark marble surface.

There’s a lot of the lime salt foam, but it adds to the drink nicely. This was our favorite out of the whole menu.

Regions Beyond – $15

Absolut Raspberri, Blue Curacoa, Bubble Gum, Cream, Black Cherry

This is an odd drink. It’s a little chalky on the back, and it’s weird in the middle. There’s a lot of cream and a hint of raspberry. The black cherry is the prominent note.

Happily Never After – $15

Grey Goose, Chambord, Lemon, Apple, Black Cherry

It’s a take on a French Martini, but not a good one. The cherry is very forward and syrupy. We didn’t enjoy this.

Final Vow – $50

Código Artesanal Mezcal, Amaretto, Strawberry, Mango, Lime, Hot Sauce; in the Captain’s Bride ceramic tiki mug

This is the best mezcal-based drink we’ve had at any Disney property. It’s a spicy Tiki drink and it works. The alcohol is well-masked by the juice and hot sauce.

Rating out of 7: 6

Last Catch – $60

Old Forester Statesman, Monin Rose, Mango & Marigold, Lime, Pineapple; in the Mariner ceramic tiki mug

It’s pineapple-forward. It’s certainly not bad, but it tastes like alcoholic pineapple juice and lacks any profound flavor. We liked the Final Vow better than this one.

Rating out of 7: 5

Sympathetic Libations (Zero Proof) – $15

Zero-Proof Lyre’s Agave Blanco, Lyre’s Orange Sec, Blood Orange, Cherry Sour, Lime Salt Foam

This is very tart but drinkable. It’s a zero-proof version of the Chilling Challenge cocktail.

Spirit Free Menu

A tablet displays a menu titled "A Curvation of Libations," featuring specialty drinks that echo the whimsy of Disney Treasure. It lists cocktails, wine, beer, and spirit-free options adorned with enchanting illustrations reminiscent of the Haunted Mansion.
  • Potions (Glass-bottled Sodas) – $5 each
    • Grim Grinning Grape
    • Screaming Soda
    • Sour Shivers Lemonade
    • Creepy Crawly Cola
  • Ghoulish Delight – $7.50
  • Ghostly Retreat – $8

Spirit Free Reviews

Bottled Soda “Potions” – $5 each

Grim Grinning Grape – $5

Blue Grape

This is a great grape soda. It’s the best of the bottled soda “potions.” As opposed to the other sodas, this contains 1 calorie.

Rating out of 7: 7

Creepy Crawly Cola – $5

Cola

This tastes like a flat, store-brand cherry diet cola. There’s no description and it doesn’t say cherry, but we definitely tasted it.

Rating out of 7: 2

Screaming Soda – $5

Cream Soda

Two themed beverage bottles, labeled "Screaming Soda" and "Sour Shivers Lemonade," sit on a table adorned with elaborate dragon décor. These specialty drinks evoke the enchanting ambiance of Disney Treasure's Haunted Mansion Parlor Bar, with mysterious concoctions in the background.

The Screaming Soda is what you’d expect from a bottled cream soda.

Rating out of 7: 4

Sour Shivers Lemonade – $5

Lemonade

Four colorful bottled drinks with Halloween-themed labels are lined up on a counter in front of a spooky portrait.

The lemonade is off. It’s gross. We couldn’t quite figure out where it went wrong but it was not good.

Rating out of 7: 2

Ghoulish Delight – $7.50

Ube Condensed Milk, Oat Milk, Tapioca Pearl, Ube Wanderdust Shimmer, Eyeball Gummies

This is fantastic. There’s nothing over the top about it, but it’s a smooth, creamy ube drink. The aftertaste is a little earthy but we loved this. It’s a great mocktail.

Rating out of 7: 7

Ghostly Retreat – $8

Creepy Crawly Cola, Grenadine, Black Cherry, Eyeball Gummies; served with a Souvenir Glow Cube

The cola works better as a mixer for this than by itself. It’s an elevated Roy Rogers-type drink.

Beer Menu

A hand holds a tablet showcasing a themed menu titled "Curation of Libations" from the Haunted Mansion Parlor Bar aboard the Disney Treasure, featuring specialty drinks like "Happy Haunts" and "Balloon Mornis Ale.
  • Happy Haunts IPA (7.3% ABV) – $8
  • Pallor Mortis Pale Ale (5.4% ABV) – $7.50

Beer Reviews

Happy Haunts IPA (7.3% ABV) – $8

No swinging wake is complete without the floral aroma of the Happy Haunts IPA. The smooth, fruity taste transforms the most fearsome specters into the happiest of haunts. As they say, there’s always room for one more.

A tall glass of beer sits on a table next to two bottles labeled “Cranivira” in blue and black. This specialty drink captures the essence of Disney Treasure, offering an enchanting experience reminiscent of the Haunted Mansion itself.

This is what you expect from a fruity IPA. It’s a little crisp. We’re not IPA fans but this was pretty good.

Rating out of 7: 5

Pallor Mortis Pale Ale (5.4% ABV) – $8

A supernatural pale ale that only materializes for ghosts, Pallor Mortis is the delectable taste of the afterlife. It has become a staple in The Captain’s private cellar due to its bitterness.

A tall glass of red soda rests on a napkin beside a blue bottle labeled "Grim Grinning Grape" at the Parlor Bar, its sophisticated ambiance inspired by Disney Treasure's Haunted Mansion, all elegantly set on a sleek black marble table.

It’s pretty good with a savory hint. We would choose this over the Happy Haunts IPA.

Secret Menu – A Chilling Challenge

Restless Spirits Experience for Two:

A person holds a tablet displaying a drink menu titled "A Chilling Experience" at the Parlor Bar, featuring diverse spirit selections and a note about zero-proof options.

We won’t spoil it completely, but to order this, you have to unlock the secret menu and solve a riddle.

You have to swirl your bottled drinks for about two minutes before adding them to the cocktail. This also makes the sodas shimmer. As a bonus, you get the full bottles, so you can enjoy the remainder of the soda by itself.

The gargoyle “candle holder” and glasses are not souvenirs. They’re for presentation purposes only.

The Spirits Have Been Released – $30

In a haunted mansion setting, a bat-shaped candelabra holds two glasses of red liquid on a marble table, surrounded by guests in the parlor bar.

St. George Botanivore Gin, Screaming Soda, Blackberry, and Blueberry

This wasn’t great. It’s off-putting and the berries give it a strange aftertaste.

Five Trail Blended Whiskey, Sour Shivers Lemonade, and Orange

This is a very sour whiskey sour. You could limit that by adding less lemonade than we did. It’s passable.

The “game” of having to unlock the secret menu and solve a riddle, the themed presentation, and the overall experience are unique and fun. The drinks are just okay but we’d still recommend trying it.

Wine

While we did not review any wine as it was not unique to the Haunted Mansion Parlor, here are the available options:

  • Bastide de Margüi “1784” Rosé – $22
  • Bastide de Margüi “1784” Vin Blanc – $29.75
  • Bastide de Margüi “1784” Vin Rouge – $36.50
  • Skywalker Pinot Noir Rosé – $16
  • Skywalker Chardonnay – $20
  • Skywalker Pinot Noir – $35
  • Skywalker Sparkling – $55.50

Overall Thoughts

A dimly lit, atmospheric bar with plush seating, an octopus sculpture on a tank, and an array of decorative lights and artwork.

This is the best space the Walt Disney Company has ever made. There’s so much detail, so much story, it’s magnificent. The whole experience is worth it. This embodies the things we love about the Haunted Mansion with a nautical twist. It exceeded our expectations, and it is family-friendly until 9 p.m. with a decent selection of non-alcoholic options.
