Scaffolding has once again come down from the Hotel du Canada façade at EPCOT as Disney continues mysterious construction on the building.
Canada Pavilion Construction
The upper level of the Canada Pavilion was blocked off from June 2023 to February 2024 as the fake hotel’s facade was repainted and refurbished. In June, construction walls went back up, and a white tarp appeared over a potential expansion to the back of the building. Scaffolding went up on the south side of the building soon after but was removed in the past week.
Over the construction walls, we could see what appeared to be plywood gates sticking out of Hotel du Canada doorways. Years ago, the doors led to the shop Le Boutiques des Provinces. There are also construction materials wrapped in plastic. Maybe Disney is going to finally use the former Le Boutiques des Provinces space for something guest-facing.
Around the other side of the hotel is where we saw the white tarp over a structure jutting out from the building. The tarp is gone, revealing that Disney has cut into Hotel du Canada and built out a framework for something new.
We don’t know if this will become another shop or potentially a dining location. Disney has not made any announcements about the Canada Pavilion.

I think a quick serve restaurant would be a great addition in the Canada pavilion.
