BREAKING: Test Track at EPCOT Will Revert to General Motors Sponsorship

With the Test Track reimagining, the ride will now officially be presented by General Motors instead of Chevrolet.

When Test Track first opened in 1999, it was officially Test Track Presented by General Motors. The ride was first reimagined in 2012 and became Test Track Presented by Chevrolet. Chevy is a division of General Motors and the company wanted to focus on different branding after filing for bankruptcy in 2009.

A new Disney Parks Blog post refers to the ride as Test Track Presented by General Motors again.

Get ready to feel the thrill of the open road, the wind in your hair, and nothing but adventure ahead! Test Track presented by General Motors is making its return lap late summer 2025. Walt Disney Imagineering has been working with General Motors on an all-new storyline – you’ll want to be all buckled in for an adventure. You might even see cars returning to the track (for testing…at Test Track…nice) with their new look early in the year!

The original Test Track 3.0 announcement and concept art referred to the ride as “Presented by Chevrolet,” but it seems GM decided to switch gears.

The late summer 2025 opening timeframe is also new. The ride closed in June.

  1. Cast members are still being told 2026 so we will see. I prefer 2026 so there is no rush and no virtual queue bc this is litterally just a reboot. Lets use tiana as an example why it doesnt wrk.
