Guests got their first looks at the chalk art being created for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, as the festival prepares to open on Friday, January 17th.
Chalk Art
Chalk art is a popular annual offering at the festival, as artists express their creativity in various areas of World Showcase, starting at the World Showcase Bridge, connecting World Celebration and World Showcase. This is also an area where kids will be able to create their own chalk art daily from 11:00 AM 5:00 PM. Due to the nature of chalk art, expect to see many different works throughout the festival’s five week run.

The sign welcoming guests to the exhibits is inspired by classic works of art, including Vincent van Gogh’s famous 1889 painting Starry Night. Some original pieces and other famous works continue throughout the area.

A colorful, stylized Mickey Mouse is taking shape along the northwest portion of the bridge.

Further along, we see Moana, signed by an artist named Leigh, and Ant-Man in his early stages of being completed.

More classic works are represented, including this piece, inspired by Vermeer’s Girl with a Peal Earring. One key difference is that instead of a single pearl earring, the subject is wearing what appear to be three earrings forming a hidden Mickey.
We expect to see many more works of chalk art appear as the festival approaches. The 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off on Friday, January 17th and ends on February 24th, 2025.
