The celebration of the Year of the Snake has kicked off as the Lunar New Year 2025 festival begins at Disney California Adventure. We have gathered all the entertainment, food, and merchandise for you in this year’s guide to the festival.
Ring in the Year of the Snake with Disney Characters, culinary delights and fun festivities—inspired by Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese traditions at this year’s festival which began on January 17 and runs through February 16.

Celebration Guide

Entertainment
New: Meet Mickey and Minnie

This year, guests can meet Mickey and Minnie in new outfits celebrating Korean cultural attire at the gazebo in Paradise Gardens throughout the day.
Meet Meilin and Ming Lee from “Turning Red”

Guests can once again meet & greet Meilin and Ming Lee at this year’s celebration. They are located in Performance Corridor in the old stroller parking for The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, across from Embarcadero Gifts.
Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession

The procession is narrated as it goes by, explaining each group of performers and the connections to Lunar New Year.
“Hurry Home- A Lunar New Year Celebration”

Follow Little Lantern on a journey to return home for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune. Accompanied by a stirring musical score, created by Academy Award®-winning composer Tan Dun, you’ll be immersed in the magic of a 6-minute tale.
Other offerings around Disney California Adventure include:
- Live Entertainment at Paradise Garden Bandstand daily at 12:10, 1:10, 2:10, 3:40, 4:40, and 5:40 p.m. and at Sonoma Terrace Friday-Sunday at 3:00, 4:00, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
- Kid-Friendly Crafts where guests of all ages can enjoy crafts inspired by Lunar New Year, daily from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM near the entrance of Avengers Campus at Golden Vine House – A Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center.
Food and Beverage
Sip and Savor Pass

This year’s passes are available in three new, limited edition collectible designs that pay homage to either Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese cultures and feature Goofy, Clarabelle Cow, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Donald Duck in culturally-inspired outfits designed by artist Ann Shen. The scannable pass, available in six digital coupons, can be redeemed for select dishes and non-alcoholic beverages from the Lunar New Year Marketplaces and participating dining locations at Disney California Adventure.

Souvenir Food & Beverage Items
A Lunar New Year Mickey-shaped light up straw clip and Tumbler celebrating the Year of the Snake are available around the park.
Merchandise

Magic Key Offerings

Disneyland Magic Key holders can receive a specialty priced Sip and Savor Pass ($2 discount) with commemorative lanyard in addition to a semi-secluded sining and photo-op area near Silly Symphony Swing and festive merchandise.
Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is also getting in on the festivities with Lunar New Year treats and decor including a large snake sitting on the center table of the lobby, treats, and photo-ops around the resort.
