Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure will temporarily close for refurbishment this spring.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Refurbishment
The last day of operation for the attraction will be Sunday, March 9. On Monday, March 10, the ride will close, likely for routine refurbishment. The official Disneyland Resort website lists the attraction as closed through at least March 13 — the furthest date available for guests to view on the attraction calendar. A set reopening time has not yet been announced.
Other attractions closed at that time include the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and Grizzly River Run.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is located in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. It took the place of the former attraction, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Mission: BREAKOUT! is a complete re-theme of the previous attraction, aside from keeping the drop tower mechanisms.
The attraction originally opened on May 27, 2017. The premise of the ride, as described on the official Disneyland Resort website, is that guests “join Rocket on a thrilling mission to rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy from high up in The Collector’s fortress.”
