The pool deck at Disneyland’s Pixar Place hotel will close on February 3, 2025 for refurbishment according to the Disney website. A re-opening date has not been published. The pool, which is for the exclusive use of hotel guests, was renovated in 2023 to include Nemo and Friends. The Nemo splashpad is adjacent to the main pool area.

Disney will be allowing guests to continue to use the pool deck as a fireworks viewing location during the refurbishment.

The Pixar Place Hotel opened in January 2024 after extensive renovations to re-theme the hotel. Previously, the hotel was the Paradise Pier Hotel from 2001-2024, the Disneyland Pacific Pier Hotel from 1995-2001, and the Emerald and Pan Pacific Hotels from 1984-1995.

  1. It took them forever to overhaul the theme from Paradise Pier to Pixar Place and they’re already having to refurbish another water feature less than a year into use???

Disney has GOT TO realize at some point that cheaping out on initial builds is going to cost them more in the long run, right? Of course, they probably don’t care since they’ll keep charging full price for a bad hotel with less amenities and as stated in the article, still use it for some fireworks viewing they’ll probably upsell. Seriously garbage management & leadership that’s going to doom them in the next 10 years as prices continue to rise & become more tilted to exclusivity.
