A woman got caught trying to bring her leftover drugs from an electronic music festival into Magic Kingdom, according to a sheriff’s report.
Woman Attempts to Bring Drugs to Magic Kingdom
Aya Zabib, 24, of Lake Worth, was arrested on December 9, 2024 and charged with possession of cocaine, which is a third-degree felony, records show.
She has pleaded not guilty. Her attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Zabib set off the metal detectors at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which all guests have to pass through to get to Magic Kingdom, when she walked through the security area.
A Walt Disney World security Cast Member looked through her bag and found a small brown vial containing a white powdered substance, the Orange County Sheriff’s arrest report said.
The guard asked her what it was and she “snatched it and apologized,” the arrest report said. The security guard asked her if it was cocaine, and “she replied by saying yes it was cocaine, but that she forgot it was in her bag,” the arrest report said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office soon became involved and tested the substance in the vial with a cocaine ID swipe to confirm it was the drug.
Zabib told the deputy the vial was from the Electric Daisy Carnival, a popular electronic music Orlando festival held at Tinker Field near Camping World Stadium.
“She went on to say that she was sorry, had forgot the vial was still in her bag, and that she did not intend to bring it to Walt Disney World,” the arrest report said.
The vial weighed 6.6 grams.
Disney trespassed Zabib from Walt Disney World property and after Zabib was placed in handcuffs, she made another confession to law enforcement, the arrest report said.
She had a second vial in her jeans pocket.
The deputy tested it with a cocaine ID swipe and determined it also was, in fact, cocaine. The second vial weighed 7.2 grams.
This is just one of many guest incidents that occurred at Walt Disney World in the past few months, according to recently released police reports. Other incidents include a guest thrown out of Magic Kingdom for blocking Casey’s Corner and poking the sheriff; and a Florida woman who tried to enter a backstage area, walked into a closed EPCOT, and bit law enforcement (who now can’t testify against her).
