Valentine’s Day is here and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is celebrating with free “The Little Mermaid”-themed cards and a limited-time meet and greet with Ariel and Prince Eric — all to promote the upcoming stage show debuting this summer.
Valentine’s Day 2025 at Hollywood Studios
When we entered the park, “The Little Mermaid”-themed valentines were being handed out to guests. The sheet of cards features six valentines with characters from the film. The text “Happy Valentine’s Day!” is written on the left side.
The characters featured include Sebastian, Flounder, Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, and King Triton.
Yesterday, February 13, Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrated “Villaintine’s Day” with limited-time encounters with Disney Villains and Disney Villains-themed cards, all to promote the upcoming “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.”
The valentines are to promote the new show debuting this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, “The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure.” The show will be a staged retelling of the animated film, featuring many fan-favorite songs, all-new puppets, and live and digital motion capture characters. The new show will be housed at the location of the former “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” show in Animation Courtyard.

We also found Ariel and Prince Eric greeting guests near the ABC Commissary. The backdrop displays the “Kiss the Girl” scene from “The Little Mermaid,” featuring a blue lagoon with a full moon and flamingos. It also appears to take inspiration from concept art for the new show.
Ariel was in her human form with her blue dress, and Eric was dressed in a white long-sleeve collared shirt with blue cuffs, gold buttons, and gold tasseled shoulder pads, blue pants, and a white sash adorned with gold tassels and a gold “E.”
