The arcade section of the MIB Gear Shop has now been completely blocked off by walls in Universal Studios Florida.

MIB Gear Shop Arcade Closed

The entrance to the "MIB Gear Shop" at Universal Studios Florida features geometric design elements, with people eagerly entering under a clear blue sky, while construction walls discreetly blend into the backdrop.

The MIB Gear Shop is a store located at the exit of Men in Black: Alien Attack. The store sells mostly Men in Black merchandise, as well as some generic Universal Studios items.

The entrance to the arcade, nestled near the MIB Gear Shop at Universal Studios Florida, features eye-catching Batman-themed and claw machines on either side, all illuminated with vibrant lights.

The arcade section was added to the shop in 2021, replacing the counter where guests used to view and purchase their on-ride photos. The arcade included several different types of games and a few claw machines. Guests wanting to play the games used one of the two self-service machines located on either side to purchase play cards. which could then be swiped on any of the nearby machines.

Spacious indoor area with blue curved walls reminiscent of the MIB Gear Shop, featuring a wall-mounted digital kiosk and a vending machine.

The whole arcade section of the store has now been completely closed-off to guests by what appears to be a permanent wall. The wall is white and fills the whole curved entrance that used to be cut out of the nearby blue walls.

The room, reminiscent of a futuristic control hub, features curved walls akin to a Universal Studios Florida attraction. Ten screen displays line the left, with two keyboard stations beneath, while a vending machine stands on the right. Overhead lights illuminate the central empty space.

The screens for viewing photos are still to the left of the new wall, but the majority of the space has been left empty. The wall arrived at the beginning of February, and no significant changes have been made since it first appeared.

The presence of permanent walls implies that the arcade machines are not expected to return to the MIB Gear Shop. It appears Universal has decided to completely block this space from guest view rather than leave it empty.
