RUMOR: Walt Disney World & Disneyland Resort Moving to Fluctuating, Demand-Based Ticket Pricing

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort may soon switch to a flexible pricing model with ticket prices fluctuating based on demand, not just date.

This type of dynamic pricing debuted at Disneyland Paris last year. According to WDWMagic sources, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will switch to the pricing model soon.

Walt Disney World switched to date-based ticket pricing in October 2018. In December 2022, they introduced park-specific pricing for one-day tickets. The new model would refine this model even further, with pricing changing based on guest demand. This means pricing for a specific date and park could go up as more guests buy tickets, even changing on the actual date, instead of being fixed ahead of time.

We don’t know when this pricing model could be introduced at the U.S. parks.

  1. And good bye Disney was nice knowing you during your sane days have no need of you now that you have gotten greeeedy.

  2. I was a HUGE Disney World fan. Now, they have taken all of the fun out of going to the Resort, as not even the price to get into the parks is concrete anymore. It is rotten how this company has changed from its original vision that Walt had for it …. It is all about Disney making the maximum amount of money – at the cost of customers fun and convenience. Changing out Splash Mountain was the Final straw for me … when that happened – I quit going to Disney World. And …. I was a loyal fans for years …. But getting rid is Splash Mountain was the final line they crossed with me

  3. This makes no sense. If you want to book a vacation months ahead of time (as most of us do) you will not know how much you’re spending until the day you get there? And each day will be a different price?..
I don’t know how this can work
