With flooring work completed, the seating area at Tortuga Tavern has reopened to guests.
Tortuga Tavern Seating Reopens

In our last update, we reported that the flooring in the seating area at Tortuga Tavern in Magic Kingdom was partially in place. During our visit to the parks today, we saw that the flooring installation has been completed and the seating area is now open and accessible to guests.
In January the flooring was completely torn up so that new flooring could be installed.

The new flooring is comprised of large grey stone-like tiles and red bricks.

The seating area is comprised of round wood top tables that are fixed into the ground with a metal pole at the center. The chairs have a metal framework with red seats.
At the back of the seating area are planters that now block off another section of the quick-service dining location from guests.

Behind the shrubs, more refurbishment work is underway. The flooring in this area has been torn up but the the planters remain in the area. Construction equipment is present including orange cones, buckets, wood planks, and an industrial light.

The structural beams have been wrapped with plastic and framing surrounds them in what appears to be preparation for cement to be poured and new flooring to be installed.
Currently, the Walt Disney World website does not list operational hours for the restaurant through April 18, 2025, the furthest date available for guests to view on the calendar. The location has been closed since June 2024.
The quick service location became a temporary merchandise location, Tortuga Treasures, last year from August to November 2024 while the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar was under refurbishment.
