Crews have installed more wall paneling as facade work continues on the new Disney Vacation Club member lounge at Magic Kingdom.

The former Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade has been enclosed by brown walls. A bay juts out slightly from the building, with three black-framed windows. White sheathing covers trim around the windows.

Crew members worked on the right side of the facade. Where previously there was exposed yellow sheathing, there is now wall paneling and what appears to be another window.

The window is covered in a plastic sheet. There’s a green rail or shelf below the window. Some of the facade has not been completed on the far right.

The wall crew members were mainly working on appeared to be textured or made of rock. A large Knaack toolbox sits open in front of the building, behind the construction walls.

Opening-day attraction Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade closed permanently in June 2024 to make space for the new lounge. It will be called Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House — A Member Lounge. It’s named after Disney Legend Sam McKim, who created inspirational sketches for Disneyland, including of Slue Foot Sue’s Golden Horseshoe Revue in Frontierland.

Disney described the lounge as “a cozy and convenient retreat for Members to share stories and recharge during their day of fun.” They recently filed a permit for the installation of signage at the lounge.

Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House will open this summer.
