A new post on the Discover Universal blog has announced the first National Epic Universe Portals Tour coming to select cities in the United States this spring.
National Epic Universe Portals Tour
The newly-announced Epic Universe Portals Tour is said to include a “glimpse of the adventures that await in the immersive new theme park.” The highlight of the tour will be a 30-foot-tall replica of the Chronos that is situated by the main entrance to Epic Universe. The article describes how guests “will be invited to approach the mesmerizing portal structure to witness action-packed sequences that celebrate the incredible adventures of the new theme park.” Visitors will get the chance to take a photo beside the portal and can visit the structure at night for a show with dynamic lighting and music.

Universal did not reveal any additional details about the tour yet, but did confirm it will also include an opportunity for guests to enter a sweepstakes. The winner will receive a trip to Universal Orlando Resort. Based on the article’s wording, the sweepstakes will likely be similar to the one previously announced by TODAY, where guests receive one day at Epic Universe along with days at the other Universal Orlando Parks.
The tour has been confirmed to make stops in Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The full dates and locations are as follows:
- April 11-13: Atlanta, Georgia (Pemberton Place, adjacent to World of Coca-Cola)
- April 23-26: New York, New York (Rockefeller Center)
- May 16-18: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (The Rocky Steps)
- June 13-18: Chicago, Illinois (Pioneer Court)
The tour will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., though the blog post notes that times are subject to change.
