Construction work is nearing completion on the facade of Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge at Magic Kingdom. Most construction materials and scrim are gone from the Frontierland site.
Magic Kingdom DVC Lounge Construction

The new lounge replaces Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, which closed permanently last June. The pre-existing DVC kiosk next to the future lounge also closed for construction this January. There was previously scrim atop the kiosk’s roof, but that has been removed.
The facade of the lounge appears complete. Where guests could previously line up to shoot in the arcade, there are now wood walls and windows.
There is a bay window jutting out of the building. A log railing runs across the porch. When we looked at construction in February, there was still tape and tarps around the windows.
A series of planks on the building’s overhang may eventually hold the lounge’s new sign. Disney filed a permit for signage over a month ago.
Some prop crates on a balcony are tagged with blue tape.
The tape reads “take” and “take me,” indicating crew members are supposed to remove these props eventually.
We might have found the wall featuring the mural Disney Vacation Club teased. This light stone wall is visible beyond scrim behind the DVC kiosk.
Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House — A Member Lounge is named after Disney Legend Sam McKim, who created inspirational sketches for Disneyland, including Frontierland’s Slue Foot Sue’s Golden Horseshoe Revue. The lounge will open this summer.
