The Disney Starlight nighttime parade was first announced last year at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Walt Disney World has stated that the parade will be the resort’s tentpole offering for summer 2025.

In a recent post from the Disney Parks Blog, Disney announced new summer 2025 deals for families. Within the article is mention of the new nighttime parade with the confirmation that the parade will debut “later this summer.”

With the summer just around the corner, an opening date has yet to be announced. Readers are urged to “stay tuned for more details and an opening date.” The post also mentions that Disney is still putting the finishing touches on the parade, so perhaps a new look will be provided soon.

Disney Starlight will be the first nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom in almost 10 years. It will take inspiration from previous nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom as well as some of the early animated features of Walt Disney Studios.

In January, Disney shared a first look at a Mary Blair-inspired costume that will be worn in the parade. The nighttime parade is also listed on the My Disney Experience app and the webpage is also live on the official Walt Disney World website.

Other new offerings debuting this summer include Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; roaming character meet and greets for resort guest early entry at the parks; Goofy taking over CommuniCore Hall, Stitch invading Tomorrowland, and more new entertainment; and scheduled character appearances and other activities for kids coming to select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
