Concept art from the upcoming Marvel film “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” has been leaked online, sharing glimpses of potential scenes in the upcoming film and possibly spoils the appearance of an important new character.
Leaked Fantastic Four Concept Art

“Fantastic Four: First Steps” is set to arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025 and is directed by Matt Shakman, who previously directed “WandaVision” for Disney+. The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Marvel has also confirmed the Fantastic Four will be defending the Earth from Galactus (Ralph Ineson), and his Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).
Disney released a teaser trailer for the film on February 4, showing each of these confirmed main characters but not providing many other details regarding the story. However, newly-leaked concept art provides more images from the upcoming film and teases the potential introduction of an important new character.
Interestingly, the leaked concept art comes from the same confirmed Marvel concept artist, Mushk Rizvi, who we reported yesterday had leaked concept art from the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” film. As with yesterday’s leak, the art was compiled into a single Reddit post by user r/marvelstudios, since the original post on Rizvi’s Artstation profile was quickly removed. However, it is important to note that the date on these concept images has not been shared, meaning they could have been created while the film was still in planning months or years ago. There is no guarantee the final film will include any of these scenes or exactly replicate any of the art.

The first leaked image shows the Fantastic Four standing together in what looks to be a pod or vehicle made entirely of Sue Storm’s force field powers. The force field is keeping the family from sinking into a raging river.

The second piece of concept art shows the Fantastic Four sitting together in their kitchen, smiling while enjoying a meal together. The family may have just returned from a mission, as they are all still wearing components of their blue “4” suits. The robot HERBIE is shown cleaning the kitchen in the background. This art does look similar to the design of the Baxter Building as seen in the teaser trailer, so this concept art may have been more recent.

The third piece of art potentially spoils the addition of a very important character to the MCU, Franklin Benjamin Richards. Fans have guessed for a while that the film’s subtitle “First Steps” may be a reference to baby Franklin’s literal first steps, but Marvel was careful to never mention the character. This art seemingly confirms that baby Franklin will be appearing at some point during the Marvel film. This possible spoiler would also set up Franklin’s inclusion in “Avengers: Doomsday,” since the Fantastic Four cast has already been confirmed to take part in that film alongside the return of Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell.
Franklin Benjamin Richards is the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. He has never been seen in a live action Fantastic Four film, despite being considered one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel universe. Franklin is known for having powers related to creating pocket universes, manipulating time, and warping reality – all of which may play an important role in the upcoming Avengers films involving the Multiverse and Doctor Doom.

In both of these images, Franklin is shown surrounded by his loving family. While the first image shows Franklin at a seemingly young age, he appears a little older in the above image. Here, Franklin is sitting in the arms of his dad, falling asleep while reading a story. The other members of the Fantastic Four and HERBIE the robot are nearby.

In addition to a possible first look at Franklin, the next piece of art also shows a potential style for Silver Surfer. The art shows the character in full costume, standing on her silver surfboard in front of a futuristic-looking city. The inclusion of three nearly identical images implies the artists were still trying to settle on a final Silver Surfer design when the art was created.

Franklin appears again in the next art compilation, which shows multiple character models for Sue Storm. In each image, Sue is holding a baby wrapped in a green blanket using her right arm. The art also shows her standing in the same pose, but her suit and hair are all different. The leftmost image has white stripes on her suit, which is closer to the outfits from the trailer, while the other two outfits have black details instead.

The final few images are actually a series of concept art drawings played together as a short GIF. The first GIF shows an example of Sue wrapping Franklin in a bubble-like force field, saving him from falling off a couch. The art focuses less on Sue’s expression and more on the style and texture of the force field, implying this art was more of a test for the special effects. Fans have also pointed out that Franklin is wearing what appears to be a Spider Man outfit in this image.

As with the previous art, the next GIF again shows examples of Sue’s force field powers. Sue is standing in the middle of an industrial-style hallway, blocking what appear to be blue laser weapons with her force fields. This art may be a bit older, as her outfit is still showing black detailing instead of the confirmed blue and white suits.

The next GIF is another test of the art used to show Sue Storm’s force field powers. Sue sits in the center of a hole punched through the wall of what appears to be an office building. Three characters wearing jackets shoot at her with traditional-looking guns, while she uses an oval-shaped force field bubble to block the bullets. Sue’s outfit here is again the older-style black and blue suit.

The final GIF shows Sue one more time, wearing a blue suit closer to her confirmed outfit. She is kneeling in the center of what appears to be the same office building as the last image. As she kneels, a wave-like force field radiates from her body and washes over two adversaries hiding around the corner.
If you want to compare the concept art to the confirmed images from Marvel, the teaser trailer is below.
