Walt Disney World has added new designated pages detailing information for the Single Rider Option to ride select attractions, both in the parks on wait time boards, online on the resort’s official website, and on the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Single Rider Details Added Online and In-Person for Walt Disney World
Single Rider Option allows guests in groups to split up and experience select attractions individually, with the possibility of getting through the line faster. To help further educate guests on this option and where it is available, new information pages have been added to the Walt Disney World website, the My Disney Experience app, and on wait time boards in the parks.
On My Disney Experience, guests searching “Single Rider” will be directed to this page, which explains what the Single Rider Option is and what to expect.
Single Rider is an option that allows groups to split up and embark on select attractions individually.
Attraction signage or a Cast Member can direct you to the designated line, where your party will be separated to fill remaining seats in a ride vehicle that aren’t occupied by Guests utilizing standby lines or Lightning Lane entrances.
Know Before You Go
- Immediate boarding or choice of seat is not guaranteed.
- Single Riders must meet all boarding requirements.
- Special seating requests may not be accommodated.
- Participating attractions and wait times may vary.
- This service is subject to availability.
For more information, please ask an Attractions Cast Member for details.
The page also features the new icon for the Single Rider Option: an “S” with a “1” taking up the void of the letter. This icon is present both on the app and on the wait time boards in the parks, and indicates that an attraction offers a single rider line.
While the Single Rider Option was not present on the wait time boards in Magic Kingdom — due to the park having no single rider lines — Cast Members confirmed with us that this option can be viewed on wait time boards in other parks, though they were unsure if the update has rolled out to all parks at this time.

On that same page, there is an option to tap “Find on Map,” which highlights the attractions available in EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At the time of publication, these attractions are:
EPCOT:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
Not on this list currently is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which does currently offer a single rider line (photo above taken on March 22, 2025).
