The construction walls surrounding an area near the lagoon at Universal Studios Florida, just past the Central Park archway, have been removed.

The walls were previously up around the edge of the lagoon, blocking the lower two pathways and part of the upper pathway as well.

It’s possible the wall or railing needed repairs as the construction wall ran right up against the stone wall of the lagoon.

We also noticed that the Lew Wasserman statue is still missing from his pedestal. The statue was installed permanently in the area of Central Park.

The statue was first removed from Universal Studios Florida in May 2024. Before that, the statue was more centrally located in New York land. However, since the statue was in the path of the parade route, it had to be removed for extended lengths of time during that year.

The fountain platforms used in the show CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular were still raised out of the water during our visit. In our last update, we observed crew members working on the fountain, likely for general maintenance.

CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular returns to the park on April 14. The nighttime show will continue performances at park close through April 24, on April 26 and 27, and again from May 22 through August 24.

CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular first debuted in June 2024 and features fireworks, projections, and over 600 drones. The show celebrates “the emotional power of music by leveraging the iconic scores and scenes from blockbuster films that have inspired Universal Orlando’s past, present, and future attractions.”

The drone show also utilizes water screens, fountains, lasers, and other special effects to highlight fan-favorite properties of Universal Studios films and park attractions. Films such as “E.T.,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Back to the Future” have sequences in the show.

In November 2024, a Princess Peach drone sequence was added to the show. The “Peaches” sequence was featured after the love sequence. The nighttime show used romantic music and imagery to transition into Bowser’s performances of “Peaches” from “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” An image of Bowser was created by drones in the sky with more drones forming an image of Princess Peach with beating hearts around her.

The Universal Mega Movie Parade will return just two days before CineSational on April 12. During the parade, “some of the most beloved stories from Universal’s films will leap off the screen and land on the streets of Universal Studios Florida.” Films featured in the parade include “E.T.,” “Back to the Future,” “Jaws,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Jurassic World.” The parade was designed to tie into the summer Tribute Store.

The Universal Mega Movie Parade first debuted with technical rehearsals in July 2024. Floats themed to the raptor paddock from “Jurassic World” and the Echo-1 from “Ghostbusters” were added later.

Recently, Universal filed a trademark for “Universal Mega Movie Summer,” suggesting they may develop a full event related to the parade.
