Disney filed six new permits for the set up of a trailer complex to support construction of the new “Cars” area coming to Magic Kingdom.

The permits are all for 5055 Caribbean Way at Magic Kingdom. This corresponds to a backstage behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, not far from the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, which will be demolished to become the new “Cars” area.

The work and contractors listed on the notices include:

The trailers will house offices for the Imagineering and construction teams working on the project.

The “Cars” area is not a complete land but an expansion to Frontierland. It will include two rides, one meant to replicate an off-roading experience. The other is a family ride.

Late last year, Disney submitted their updated plans for construction to the South Florida Water Management District.
