One of the dinner show venues on board the upcoming Disney Destiny is Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King. Disney Cruise Line invited WDWNT to take a first look at some of the menu items, the restaurant’s features, and the performance.

Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King
Cast Costumes
The restaurant’s Cast Members wear black pants and an optional black suit jacket over their shirt and vest.
The shirt has a fur-inspired orange and yellow pattern. The vest has a low V-neck leading to one white button with a swirl design. It has a light dapple and a diamond pattern.
The vest’s neck has a brown trim and a thin trim of colorful African-style patterns. The shirt features pairs of brown buttons.
The suit jacket has two blue-green buttons.
Cast Members wear the standard Disney Cruise Line nametag reading “Creating Magic at Sea.”
Table Settings
The unique plateware is white with borders of different colors fanning out like the sun’s rays or a lion’s mane. Kids’ plates feature Rafiki’s drawing of Simba.
An antelope and a zebra are pictured on the salt and pepper shakers. The table number standees are golden and shaped like a lion. The drawing of Simba is stamped in black on the red-brown leather-style coasters. The woven-style placemats are also red. The cutlery is gold with textured handles. A gold napkin ring slides onto the red cloth napkins.
The kids’ menu features “The Lion King”-inspired activities like matching bugs, tracing animal tracks, and coloring Simba’s crown. It includes some Swahili words and their translations.
Guests can purchase the new Hyena sipper or Timon sipper.
Decor
The restaurant is inspired by the African savanna. There will be large illuminated window displays showing the silhouettes of trees against a color-changing sky.
In the center of the room will be a square stage, just like in the dinner show restaurants on other Wish-class ships. Plants and baskets are around the stage.
The full show will feature musicians and actors telling the story of “The Lion King” with authentic African instruments. Featured songs include:
- “Circle of Life”
- “Hakuna Matata”
- A mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared”
- An instrumental version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”
- A rendition of “He Lives in You” from the sequel film and Broadway show
Menu Items
We got to sample the Pride Lands desserts. One is a Pineapple Upside Down Cake made of moist yogurt cake, caramelized pineapple, cherries, and rooibos mousse.
Another dessert is the Warm Chocolate Malva Pudding: sweet vanilla pudding, apricot jam, warm buttery cream sauce, and vanilla ice cream.

The menu also features:
