Universal has shared new details for Universal Horror Unleashed, the year-round horror destination coming to Las Vegas.
Universal Horror Unleashed
In a post from Discover Universal Blog, new details have been shared about the upcoming haunt, courtesy of an interview with TJ Mannarino, vice president of art and design for Universal’s Entertainment Division, and Nate Stevenson, show director for Universal’s Creative Development Group.
Universal Horror Unleashed will be housed inside “Warehouse 25,” described as “an abandoned production warehouse filled with cursed and haunted set pieces, film props, and other mysterious paraphernalia” from Universal’s rich horror history.
In addition to the four previously announced haunted houses — Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping, and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer — each of the haunted houses will be surrounded by four themed live entertainment areas. We now know what those areas’ themes are.
Located next door to Scarecrow: The Reaping will be Jack’s Alley Bar. Here, guests can enjoy themed specialty cocktails, acrobatic performances, and more in “a circus-like hellscape” where Jack the Clown and Chance rule. In this dark carnival area, guests will encounter Jack’s maniacs and a group of “malicious jugglers,” dancers, and fortune tellers during interactive show moments.
Another of these areas is the Kill Vault, where slashers and more are lurking in the shadows, surrounded by rusty knives, machetes, and more. This area also includes Rough Cuts, where guests can enjoy “chainsaw” carved small plates while watching “a variety of show moments.”
In the Prop Graveyard, guests will see where the line blurs between the inanimate and the alive, from a collection of unsettling dolls to dismembered mannequins and other haunted objects from abandoned film sets. Next door, guests can relax in Premiere House, a tapas bar featuring the horrors of Blumhouse. Here, a variety of signature cocktails and shareable bites will be available, set in a venue filled with movie props and decor representing Universal’s most recent Blumhouse horror films.
The final themed area is Dead Storage, located next to the Universal Monsters house. Here, guests will be surrounded with forgotten set pieces and relics reclaimed by “night-dwelling creatures” — including vampires, a werewolf in mid-transformation, and others that “emerge without warning.”
Next to Dead Storage will be The Boiler Bar, located at the heart of Horror Unleashed, where the zones converge. Guests will be able to take a break from the horrors that await while sipping on craft cocktails beneath a monstrous flaming machine.
Mannarino also shared that, unlike Halloween Horror Nights, guests visiting Universal Horror Unleashed will be able to “soak in the scares throughout the whole experience,” seemingly at their own pace.
Stevenson insists that the new haunt experience will offer something for every guest, including those looking for more immersion in their horror.
“When I say it includes something for everyone, it really includes every kind of fear you can think of, and it’s going to touch people on those levels — but it also includes every kind of experience,” says Stevenson. “If you’re the kind of person who wants to come and just really immerse yourself in the characters and delve into the world that we’ve created, it’s gonna be there for you.”
Universal Horror Unleashed will open its doors to guests on August 14, 2025. It’s a 20-acre expansion to the AREA15 entertainment district. Read the official description below:
