Disney has shared a new video on Instagram with a Q&A session featuring one of the BDX droids at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Q&A with BDX Droid Grek

Disney shared a video on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram account featuring one of the BDX droids. The short video clip has a Cast Member holding a small microphone and asking a droid, Grek, some questions. The beginning features Grek showing off how he can express emotions like anger or sadness by tilting his head and changing the colored lights on his eyes. Grek also dances, shines his head-mounted flashlight, and interreacts with a second droid. The video also humorously asks, “Are you the droid we’re looking for?” to which Grek replies by sneaking offscreen.

Disney previously announced all four of the BDX droids have unique names. Grek is the droid with green paint highlights, while the others are named Besh, Oskar, and Red. In that same announcement, Disney also shared how the droids have been modified with heat-resistant materials to withstand the blazing Florida sunlight.

Disney recently announced that the BDX droids, which were previously seen at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland back in 2023, will be arriving in Florida, Tokyo, and Paris sometime this year. The droids have also been confirmed to make an appearance in the upcoming “The Mandalorian & Grogu” film, which releases on May 22, 2026.
